The Greater Susquehanna Valley Penn State Chapter actively participates in several community service activities throughout the year. Every holiday season chapter members donate Christmas gifts to the Women In Transition shelter of Union County. This past Christmas season, chapter members donated over $600.00 worth of children’s gifts to under privileged families benefiting from the Women in Transition program. The chapter is also a ten (10) year participant in the Pennsylvania State Adopt-A-Highway program, maintaining a stretch of Rt 45 on the way to Penn State. Our chapter member’s also volunteer time at the Children’s Miracle Network Telethon every June and participate in the Women in Transition auction every year.
